Over nearly 20 years Nigel has gained international business experience working with some of the world’s largest multinationals through to owner managed SMEs and entrepreneurial start-ups. He has worked with and led multi-disciplinary teams that have secured inward investment projects on time and within budget across the UK. He works as part of a team of Sector Specialists, driving Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into the North of England (The Northern Powerhouse). This is part of the wider rebalancing of the UK economy by attracting FDI opportunities from around the world that align with the primary economic capabilities of the North: Health Innovation, Energy, Manufacturing, Financial & Professional Services, all underpinned with by technology, digital and creative industries which Nigel leads on. He has experience working with the Department for International Trade (DIT), EY, PA Consulting and in the tech sector where he worked for a cloud based, e-commerce and CRM software business selling monetisation solutions to the entertainment industry, which he helped to internationalise. He has previously account managed a plethora of foreign owned companies for DIT to ensure they maximised their potential across the UK.

is in love with skiing, startups and suggestology. 10 years ago together with friends from Sofia University he co-founded the oldest entrepreneurship club in Bulgaria. Start It Smart supported 500+ startups with network of 300 mentors in 8 seasons of 10-week program considered to be the first preaccelerator. Mitko also co-founded two software companies with national and international awards for innovation. For the last 8 years he conducted more than 170 two-week brain building courses improving 3-5 times the reading speed, comprehension, concentration, memory and creativity level of thousands of people. Dimitar had the chance to be student of Prof. Dr. Georgi Lozanov - scientist, neurologist and psychotherapist who according to UNESCO invented the most innovative learning methodology in the world. Now Mitko is running Questups - profiling methodology for product spinoffs and startups matching with the right mentor at the right milestone in order to accelerate product-market fit.
