HOW CAN YOU HAVE “NICE” CONFLICTS? NO CONFLICTS AT ALL?
We would like to cordially invite you to the exclusive workshop focused on understanding, preventing and managing conflict. The participants will learn how to recognize situations that may lead to unnecessary conflicts, enabling them to have increased productivity, better business results and more relaxed working environment.
CONFLICT IN TEAMS AND ACROSS THE FUNCTIONS
The SDI provides the framework to help people discuss root causes of conflict objectively and to design a plan to resolve it. People are encouraged to draft a "Conflict Charter" or guiding principles to follow when different points of view surface. When these agreements are in place, they have an objective, less personal process for addressing issues that can impede individual and team performance. The SDI is a critical component for workshops titled “Dealing with Difficult People”. The title implies that it is always the other person who creates the problems we experience. The surprise for many participants in SDI workshops is that it is often their perception of the other person that creates the difficulty.
WORKSHOP METHODOLOGY – PRE TRAINING ACTIVITY
There will be a pre-training activity: all participants will fill in the two instruments:
- Strength Deployment Inventory
- Portrait of Overdone Strengths
Participants will learn that the behaviour of others is really the intention to do what they believe is the right thing, not the wrong thing.
As a result, they will begin to manage those disagreements in more positive and productive ways.
Learning that conflict has the potential to escalate to the point where relationships are damaged, participants will create proactive strategies that work when both parties are still engaged in solving the problem for mutual gain.
