Economics is becoming more behavioural than ever before and the stakeholders in the process of organisational transformation are aware of the contributions of the psychological research in this field.
The business, organisational, or applied psychology are all names for psychological research focused on improving mental health at work and optimising financial resources. Contemporary psychologists are trained to design, implement and analyse organisational interventions. They plan behavioural change and take actions to minimise the risks for the well-being of everybody involved.
The factors which enhance or hinder performance, inspire or kill motivation, go beyond the bureaucratic top-down interventions which more often than not fail to deliver the prognostic results.
The psychological viewpoint is essential in the process of transforming the company culture, recruitment practices, performance and achievement stimuli. Knowledge sharing, career structuring, psychometrics together with feedback, counselling and organisational analysis form the ground on which the organisations thrive. Not surprisingly, the analysis of the human factor is more efficient when a psychologist could guarantee the privacy of the shared information. Money and social status are no longer the incentives that would retain good employees.
This seminar represents a taster of a course that aims to develop a deeper understanding of the relationship between psychology and business.
Three out of these five topics will be discussed at the seminar. You can vote for your three top choices in the registration form:
